Almond Recruitment, on behalf of our client, have an exciting opportunity for an IT technical support officer to join a leading CSP company.

 

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for the smooth running of computer systems and ensuring that users get maximum benefits from them. Individual tasks vary depending on the size and structure of the organisation, but you will need to: Assist in launching and testing of new software. Assist the IT Manager. install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications. monitor and maintain computer systems and networks. talk staff or clients through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up systems or resolve issues. troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults. replace parts as required. Maintain an inventory of IT Assets. provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports. follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system. support the roll-out of new applications. set up new users’ accounts and profiles and deal with password issues. respond within agreed time limits to call-outs. work continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate). prioritise and manage many open cases at one time. rapidly establish a good working relationship with users and other professionals, such as software developers. test and evaluate new technology.

 

IT Support Requirements and Qualifications

 

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in a technical support role. Certifications are preferred, but not required.
  • Working knowledge and expertise with a variety of software, hardware, and applications.
  • Willingness to solve complicated problems and see projects through to completion.
  • Analytical skills to study problems and records and identify solutions.
  • Team-oriented attitude to help other colleagues and departments with technical problems.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage time and effectively prioritize numerous projects at one time.

 

Skills:

  • Network skills: WAN, LAN, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, HTTPS, VPN IPsec/SSL, Wireless (802.11), OSI model.
  • Security skills: Firewall administration (rules and policies, Routing etc.) Endpoints management, software’s patching.
  • Knowledge requires Microsoft Windows System, Active Directory, GPO, DFS, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365,
  • Backup solution, Remote Desktop solution, MDM administration
  • Microsoft SQL Server knowledges.
  • Know how to analyse and handle a patch bay, labelling, report, and documentation.
  • Have a positive attitude and able to work on own initiative with good time management.
  • Be flexible and willing to do the extra mile to help the team.
  • Good communication skills
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
