Head of Accounting – CY11715

Almond Recruitment, on behalf of our client, a leading Forex firm, are currently looking for a Head of Accounting to join their office in Limassol. Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for the Company’s Accounting Department, supervising the day-to-day accounting operations
• Review the accounting records and ensure that the journal entries in the accounting system are performed in an accurate, timely and efficient manner
• Supervise the accounting personnel, review of their work and provide constructive feedback
• Preparation of management accounts and any ad-hoc reporting required by the Company’s management
• Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations, including the preparation and submission of reports to regulatory and tax authorities
• Liaise with banks, PSPs, EMI and the company’s treasury function in relation to financing and other requirements in coordination with the CFO
• Oversee the timely and correct recording of invoices, execution of payments to vendors, service providers and payroll
• Monitor of cash flow position, recuring and critical payments and preparation of cash flow reports
• Coordination and management of the audit process for the preparation of audited financial statements for group entities in accordance with IFRS and local companies law
• Establish and maintain appropriate internal controls to ensure operational efficiency and reliable financial reporting

Requirements

• ACA or ACCA qualification
• A University graduate in accounting, business, finance or related field
• Experience in a CySEC regulated investment firm and previous experience in the relevant position will be considered as a strong advantage
• 4-6 years of relevant experience
• People Management Skills
• Effective Communications Skills
• MS Office and working knowledge of accounting software
• Excellent knowledge of the English and Greek language, written and oral
• Initiative and attention to detail
• Organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Problem-solving and results orientated
